All is set for the flag off of the Big Brain Naija reality television show in October in Abuja, as an Innoson car and N30 million awaits the overall winner of the show.
At a recent press conference in Abuja, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Big Brain Naija, Ossai Ilome, revealed that season one of Big Brain Naija will bring 37 contestants from the 36 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and the winner of the show will go home with N30 million and a car as the grand prize.
The reality show, which is said to integrate entertainment with impact and technology through value-driven content, aims to create a new culture that celebrates indigenous Nigerian intelligence and intellectuals who would promote and encourage the upcoming generation to embrace brain work.
Technology entrepreneur and founder of the reality show, Charles Awuzie, speaking recently on African Independent Television (AIT) on the essence of the show, said that it is designed to encourage “brain work and not yansh work” as most reality shows in Nigeria and Africa do.
The Big Brain founder revealed that they are organising the show in partnership with Zenith Bank, DAAR Communications, AIT, the Cross River State Government, Innoson Motors, among others.
He stated that though they have built an intelligent artificial (AI) judging system to promote fairness and transparency in judging the contestants, they will still leverage human judges in analyzing pitches and winners.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DAAR Communications Plc, Mr Marcel Anyalechi, while commending the initiative, stated that DAAR Communications is committed to the show.
Anyalechi added that the reality show would impact the entertainment industry, as it blends creativity and innovation.
The CEO of Big Brain Production, Kel Armstrong Amobi, said that Nigerians are tired of shows that promote scandal, nakedness, and moral bankruptcy.
In light of this, Amobi stressed that Big Brain Naija is not a show of noise but of ideas, not a house of immorality but a stage for innovation, to celebrate ideas, creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
“So, to every young Nigerian with a dream, this is your show. This is your chance to prove that intelligence, discipline, and creativity,” Amobi said.
The COO of Big Brain Naija, Ilome, mentioned earlier, enjoined Nigerian youths to key into the show, which, according to him, is a movement where intelligence meets entertainment that is capable of creating a new economy for the youths.
Ilome stated that, among other innovations, the show will be anchored by AI-powered judges, making it the first of its kind in Africa.
