Nollywood actress and evangelist, Tonto Dikeh, has launched New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle (NWPT), an interdenominational Christian fellowship in Abuja, with weekly meetings scheduled to hold every Friday at 6 p.m. in Jabi.
Dikeh announced the new ministry in an Instagram post, describing it as an “interdenominational altar, spiritual home, and global movement of consecrated believers.”
The actress said the fellowship was established to provide a platform for prayer, revival, spiritual growth and an encounter with what she described as the “raw power, purity, and presence of God.”
The development marks a new phase in the actress’s public involvement in Christian ministry, with NWPT presenting itself as a fellowship focused on deepening believers’ spiritual lives and advancing its stated mission.
In its welcome message, NWPT encouraged members to build their lives around prayer, connect with the fellowship and pursue “the secret place.”
The organisation said its vision is to see a global awakening of consecrated believers who will operate in the presence of God and contribute to the transformation of nations.
The new fellowship takes its inspiration from Mark 2:22, a biblical passage which states that “no one puts new wine into old wineskins.” The passage forms the foundation of the ministry’s name and its stated emphasis on spiritual renewal, consecration and revival.
According to the organisation, its mission extends beyond regular fellowship meetings. NWPT said it intends to build an interdenominational altar dedicated to prayer and revival, while also providing apostolic training for believers. It plans to equip members, activate spiritual gifts and promote soul winning as part of its broader spiritual objectives.
The fellowship has also adopted four core values under the acronym FIRE. These are Flame of Intercession, Intimacy and Consecration, Revival and Soul Winning, and Empowerment through Deliverance and Healing. The values reflect the areas NWPT says will guide its activities and engagement with members.
The organisation further clarified that it does not describe itself as a church. Instead, NWPT described itself as “an intense gathering” of people committed to the purposes of God. The distinction was included in its introduction as the fellowship begins operations in Abuja.
The announcement has placed Dikeh’s religious activities in focus as the actress takes on a more prominent role in establishing and leading a Christian fellowship.
