Welcome to the Naira Stories print magazine submission portal, and thank you for choosing to submit your work to us.
The print version of the magazine is published triannually in January, May, and September. We are interested in stories from Nigeria and the diaspora, and we do not charge a submission fee.
We are interested in the following literary genres: fiction (3000 – 5000), nonfiction/memoir/essay (3000 – 5000), interviews (2000 – 3000), and poetry (two poems, each not more than 25 lines).
Anything outside these word limits would be disregarded.
Your story should be properly formatted and paginated. We recommend the following formatting style (1.5 line spacing, 12pt font size, Times New Roman font face, A4 paper size, and justified text). Only poetry should be left-aligned.
We only accept Microsoft (MS) Word documents. The header of the document should contain your name and the title of your story. The first page of the document should contain the title of your story, the word count, and your full name.
If you are not familiar with our print magazine submission guidelines, we encourage you to do so. We also encourage you to read some of our published works to know the type of stories we publish before submitting your work.
