Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has gifted his wife, Chioma Adeleke, a brand-new 2025 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon worth over $150,000 (about N240 million), saying his lady (wife) deserves only the best.
The luxury SUV, which debuted globally this year, comes with advanced design upgrades and an electric version, making it one of the most coveted cars of 2025.
Davido shared videos of the moment on his Instagram Story on Wednesday, showing the car handover. He revealed that he traded in a previous G-Wagon and paid extra to secure the latest model.
“First of all, we had to take the one I got, then obviously add more money to get the new one,” the singer explained, before adding, “Only the best for my lady.”
When the vehicle was finally unveiled, Chioma appeared visibly excited as Davido cheered her on, declaring, “We do 2025!”
The gift comes just weeks after the couple’s highly publicised white wedding in Miami on August 10, 2025. The ceremony, the last in a three-part journey, followed their court wedding in March 2023 and traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024.
The Miami wedding, reportedly worth $3.7 million, drew political figures, business leaders, and top entertainers from across the world, further cementing the Adeleke family’s influence in both entertainment and society.
Before the wedding, Davido had consistently made public displays of affection towards Chioma.
In June 2024, during their traditional wedding in Lagos, the singer presented her with a luxury car gift, sparking wide attention online. He also frequently highlighted her role in his life, calling her his “rock” in interviews and at public events.
The couple’s relationship has remained a subject of public interest for years. In 2019, Davido famously proposed to Chioma with a diamond ring, calling her “the one” in an Instagram post. Despite challenges and periods of separation, the pair reunited and solidified their union, culminating in their series of wedding ceremonies between 2023 and 2025.
