Nollywood actress and social media influencer, Nimmy Ferrari, has died following an alleged fibroid operation, days before she was expected to celebrate the completion of her newly built home in Sagamu, Ogun State.
News of Ferrari’s reported passing emerged through social media posts shared by some of her colleagues, who mourned the actress and reflected on plans she had been making before her death.
According to one account shared on Snapchat, Ferrari had been preparing for a housewarming ceremony at her newly completed property and was looking forward to the official opening the home before her death.
Her colleagues and fans described her death as particularly painful because it came at a time when she was said to be making progress in her career and personal life.
Ferrari had reportedly worked hard to establish herself in Nigeria’s entertainment industry and was beginning to attract greater recognition for her work as an actress and influencer.
Her reported death has also drawn attention because of a tribute she was said to have recently made following the death of veteran Nollywood actor Ogogo.
One of the tributes circulating online recalled that Ferrari had mourned the veteran actor shortly before reports of her own death emerged, a development that has added to the grief expressed by those reacting to the news on social media.
