Veteran television host and filmmaker, Frank Edoho, has declined to offer marital advice to newlyweds Peller and Jarvis, saying he does not consider himself knowledgeable enough about marriage to advise the couple.
Edoho made the remark on Saturday while attending the couple’s wedding ceremony, which attracted several high-profile guests. When he was approached at the event and asked to share words of advice with the newlyweds, the former Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Nigeria host chose instead to offer them his goodwill and best wishes.
Explaining his decision, Edoho said, “You’re asking me, who knows nothing about marriage, to advise the couple? I am going to give my wishes instead.”
He subsequently wished Peller a happy life, abundant blessings, and peace as he begins married life with Jarvis.
His response has attracted attention, particularly because Edoho has had two marriages and has previously spoken publicly about the difficulties he experienced in his most recent marriage. Rather than present himself as an authority on marriage, the television personality opted to keep his contribution to the couple’s celebration focused on goodwill.
Edoho has been married twice, with his most recent marriage to Sandra ending in a highly publicised separation. The former couple’s relationship attracted public attention amid allegations of infidelity, with Edoho previously alleging that his former wife was unfaithful with singer Chike.
Despite his personal experiences, Edoho did not use the occasion to discuss the challenges he had faced in his own relationships or offer the newlyweds specific instructions on how to conduct their marriage. Instead, he kept his remarks brief and centred on his wishes for their future together.
His comments came as Peller and Jarvis celebrated their wedding in the presence of family, friends and several personalities from Nigeria’s entertainment industry. The couple’s relationship has attracted considerable public interest, with their marriage marking a new chapter in their widely followed relationship.
