DJ Cuppy reveals preference for low-key 9–5 man with no social media presence

Nigerian disc jockey and entertainer DJ Cuppy has revealed that her preferences in relationships have evolved significantly over time, as she now leans towards a more private and low-profile partner.

She made the disclosure during a recent appearance on The Zeze Millz Show, where she discussed her dating experiences and lessons learned from past relationships.

According to her, she currently finds herself more attracted to men who live simple, structured lives, particularly those working regular 9–5 jobs.

She added that she is no longer drawn to the glamour or public lifestyle that often comes with fame or high-profile professions.

DJ Cuppy explained that one of her ideal partner traits is minimal engagement with social media. She described her preference for a “super low-key” individual who is not overly concerned with public attention or online validation.

She noted that her past relationships exposed her to different kinds of men, which helped shape her current outlook on love and compatibility. These experiences, she said, have made her more intentional about the kind of partner she wants going forward.

The entertainer also revealed that she uses dating apps as part of her search for companionship. She said modern dating requires openness and a willingness to meet people outside traditional social settings.

Cuppy emphasised that she does not restrict herself based on profession, social status, or background when meeting potential partners. According to her, being open-minded has played an important role in her dating journey.

She further stated that she has dated and gone on dates with individuals from different walks of life, including a bus driver, a model, and a footballer. She said these experiences were all part of her learning process.

While sharing these details, DJ Cuppy clarified that her intention was not to judge or categorise people, but rather to highlight the importance of personal connection over societal labels or expectations.

Her comments also reflected a broader shift in how she now views relationships, with more emphasis on emotional peace, privacy, and compatibility rather than status or lifestyle.

The remarks have since generated conversations on social media, with many users reacting to her preference for a low-key partner and her openness about her dating experiences.
