Nigerian skit maker and popular streamer, Carter Efe, has revealed that he ended his relationship with his baby mama, Emmanuella, over a year ago, describing the breakup as a crucial turning point for his personal and professional life.
In posts on Instagram, Efe said the relationship had taken a heavy toll on his mental health, finances, and creativity, leaving him unable to focus on content creation or maintain stability.
He described the experience as emotionally taxing, particularly due to being separated from his child, but said the decision to walk away ultimately helped him regain control of his life.
The streamer credited his recent growth and increased visibility in the entertainment and streaming space to the separation.
“Just to let you know, guys, I have been single for over one year now. God is good! I saw mad changes in my life,” he wrote.
“This lady has frustrated my whole life to the extent that I trend every day for beating a lady… For two years, I lost everything. I lost my mindset, I could not think or shoot content, I got broke,” he added.
Efe also addressed the emotional hardship of being away from his child, Charis.
“For three months, I did not see my kid. I never let that hold me down. These days, you guys notice I have been happy and active. It is because I was able to move away,” he added.
He linked his current career success to the separation, noting that prioritising his mental and emotional well-being enabled him to focus on content creation.
In a humorous remark, he wrote, “God is good. You left me for good five months only to come and see that I am the biggest streamer in Africa. Lmaoooo… you want to follow me to enjoy when you were not there for me… Funny b!tch.”
The revelation comes as Efe enjoys sustained popularity, including record-breaking livestreams on Twitch in collaboration with music stars like Davido. His content has consistently trended across social media.
