Nigerian actor Baba Ijesha and his partner, celebrity stylist Luminee, have announced plans for their son’s naming ceremony, extending an open invitation to members of the public while revealing the cost of the event’s Asoebi.
The couple shared details of the celebration through a post on Instagram, confirming that the ceremony will take place on August 27, 2026, and offering specially designed Asoebi packages for intending guests.
According to the invitation flyer posted on their social media page, the Asoebi is priced at ₦250,000 for men and ₦350,000 for women. The couple described the occasion as a “royal celebration” in honour of their son, King Kagar Omiyinka, while encouraging supporters, friends and well-wishers to celebrate the milestone with them.
They also disclosed that fans living abroad who wish to participate would be able to purchase the Asoebi through a shipping arrangement from Lagos to their respective destinations.
In the accompanying message, Baba Ijesha and Luminee explained that making individual invitations was impossible, prompting them to use social media to reach a wider audience. They noted that the event would not only celebrate their son’s naming but also highlight their journey as a couple and the love story they have shared over time.
“This is a royal celebration naming ceremony of our little star, King Kagar Omiyinka. We’re going to share our love story journey,” the couple wrote.
The announcement comes weeks after Baba Ijesha confirmed the birth of their son on June 15, describing the child as a blessing and expressing gratitude to God for giving him more than he had prayed for.
In his announcement, he said he had been blessed with both a wife and a baby boy, describing the development as a new chapter in his life.
Luminee also celebrated the arrival of their child, saying she was overwhelmed with joy following the birth. She publicly professed her love for Baba Ijesha, describing him as “one in a million” and insisting that he possesses a pure heart.
