Award-winning country singer Dolly Parton suspends concerts for scheduled multiple surgeries

Seventy-nine-year-old award-winning country singer Dolly Parton has postponed her Las Vegas concerts over health issues that require priority and multiple surgeries.

The singer announced this on Sunday through her Instagram page, explaining that she has been facing health challenges that require her to undergo several medical procedures.

“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me. As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures,” she admitted.

Although she did not specify the kind and nature of the surgeries, she hinted that it is not the usual trip to see her plastic surgeon.

The country singer stated that due to her health issues, she would not be able to rehearse for the concert, pleading that those who had paid “good” money to watch her perform should give her a little time to get ready.

In light of the recent developments, she postponed the dates of her performances from December 2025 to September 2026.

Furthermore, it is reported that the tickets for the original 2025 shows will be valid for the new dates, and refunds will be available for those unable to attend.

In recent times, Dolly Parton has been diagnosed with a kidney stone that she said has given her an infection, prompting her doctor to advise her against travelling to get better.

Her current health issue aside, the singer has been going through a difficult period following the death of her longtime husband Carl Dean in March.

However, despite these challenges, the seventy-nine-year-old Parton noted that she is not retiring anytime soon.

“Don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you,” she added.
