Social justice advocate and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has said that Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, is 1000 times better than the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, for publically apologising for his untoward action at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on August 5.
In his apologetic statement released on Friday, Ayinde confessed that the altercation at the airport was unfortunate, insisting that the flask he carried at the time contained water and not alcohol.
Omokri, through his verified Facebook page, stated that Ayinde’s public apology and remorse for his unfortunate actions at the airport make him 1000 times better than Peter Obi.
“I condemn King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, AKA K1 De Ultimate’s actions at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, where he had a run-in with ValueJet, and I support the sanctions the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority placed on him,” Omokri stated.
On the other hand, the former presidential aide commended Ayinde for taking responsibility for his actions and apologising to President Bola Tinubu and the nation within 48 hours of the incident.
“To err is weakness, and to continue in your error is wickedness. K1 De Ultimate showed that he, like all humans, is weak. However, he demonstrated that though he may be weak, he is not wicked,” he added.
Omokri compared the embattled Fuji musician’s behaviour to that of Peter Obi, who, according to him, was caught red-handed in a leaked audio threatening to unleash religious war on the Muslim Ummah.
He stressed that, to date, Obi has neither admitted that he was the one on that leaked ‘Yes Daddy’ tape nor apologised for it.
“A man, like Peter Obi, who cannot admit his error when he is not in power, will definitely commit terror when in power,” Omokri concluded.
