Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has celebrated two years of celibacy, crediting God for helping her maintain the decision as she continues to embrace self-love and personal growth following her past relationships.
The actress announced the milestone in a social media post on Tuesday, alongside pictures of herself aboard a flight. Sharing her experience, she indicated that she was more interested in travelling than pursuing romantic relationships, using the opportunity to reflect on her two-year journey.
“Catch flights not feelings. 2 years of celibacy. God did,” she wrote.
The announcement comes amid her growing emphasis on independence, self-appreciation, and the importance of prioritising personal happiness. In a recent post, Blessing also celebrated herself with flowers, explaining that she had realised she did not have to wait for another person to make her feel valued or appreciated.
The actress has frequently shared her views on relationships, marriage, and societal expectations, particularly the pressure placed on women who are unmarried or without children.
She previously criticised people who shame women over their marital status, noting that some individuals may be dealing with personal struggles that are not immediately visible to others.
Blessing urged the public to exercise restraint when commenting on women’s personal lives, suggesting that people should be more considerate rather than judge others based on conventional expectations.
Her own relationship history has also attracted public attention. Her last publicly known relationship was with entertainer Xxssive, whom she reportedly began dating in 2021. The relationship ended in 2025. Before then, she dated Ekiti State politician Opeyemi Falegan.
Following the end of her previous relationships, the actress said she intended to keep her next romance away from social media, signalling a change in how she planned to handle her private life.
Blessing has also been outspoken about her preferences in choosing romantic partners. In previous social media posts, she defended her decision to date younger men and criticised women who leave their husbands only to become involved with married men.
