Nigerian singer Zlatan Ibile and his longtime partner, Davita Lamai, are set to hold their wedding ceremony on October 24, 2026, following months of anticipation after the couple publicly announced plans to formalise their relationship.
The announcement, shared by the singer, also featured an emotional message from their son, who celebrated the love and unity he said his parents had demonstrated throughout their relationship.
Their son described his parents’ relationship as an example of togetherness and affection, highlighting the role their bond had played in shaping his understanding of love.
“When I think about love, I think about my mummy and daddy. They have shown me that family means laughing together, supporting each other, and always feeling loved,” he said.
The message continued with a reference to the children’s place in their parents’ relationship.
“My little brother and I are part of their love story, and I thank God for our family. Save the date for my mummy and daddy’s wedding on the 24th of October 2026,” he added.
The announcement has brought renewed attention to the relationship between Zlatan and Davita, who had earlier shared their intention to celebrate their union with a wedding ceremony.
In July 2026, the couple publicly revealed their wedding plans while travelling to the wedding of businessman Soso Soberekon. During the occasion, Davita reportedly invited friends and colleagues to their own celebration but did not provide a specific date.
Reports had previously linked Zlatan and Davita to a private civil wedding, although details surrounding the reported ceremony were not fully disclosed.
