Nollywood actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji has expressed gratitude to Allah for blessing him and his wife, actress Mo Bimpe, with triplet boys after years of public speculation, hurtful comments and mockery over their childlessness.
The couple, who welcomed the three sons in the first half of 2026, are now preparing for a thanksgiving ceremony.
Adedimeji shared the reflection in a lengthy Instagram post on Tuesday, recounting the difficult period he and his wife experienced before becoming parents.
According to the actor, the couple endured whispers, assumptions, and comments about their inability to have children, but chose not to respond publicly or engage those who mocked them.
He said the experience strengthened their faith and patience, adding that they remained convinced that Allah was in control of their story despite the pressure surrounding them. Adedimeji described the arrival of their three sons as an answer to prayers and a turning point that transformed what had once been a source of public ridicule into a family testimony.
“There was a time when the whispers were louder than our prayers,” the actor wrote.
He said there were occasions when they could have defended themselves, explained their situation, or attempted to prove their critics wrong, but they deliberately chose silence.
Adedimeji said that their decision to remain silent was based on his belief that Allah was writing their story and that they did not need to respond to every accusation or convince everyone about their circumstances.
He urged readers to trust divine timing, saying his family’s experience had shown him that circumstances can change in ways people cannot predict.
Reflecting on the birth of his children, the actor described his three sons as three blessings, miracles, and answers to prayers that only Allah knew about. He said what people had once used to mock him and his wife had ultimately become part of their testimony.
The actor also paid tribute to Mo Bimpe, thanking her for remaining supportive throughout the difficult period. He acknowledged that their journey had not been easy and said only the couple fully understood the tears, prayers, waiting and challenges they experienced before welcoming their children.
Addressing his sons in the post, Adedimeji said they were prayed for, waited for, and fought for before Allah brought them into the family at what he described as the most beautiful time. He added that he hoped they would one day understand the circumstances surrounding their arrival and appreciate how deeply they had been desired.
Adedimeji further stated that he no longer wanted revenge, explanations, or the need to prove anything to those who had doubted the couple. Instead, he said he wanted to focus on expressing gratitude for his wife, his three sons and the journey that brought them to this point.
The actor and Mo Bimpe, both prominent figures in the Nigerian film industry, have faced public speculation about having children since their marriage in 2021.
