Bella Shmurda alleges $4 million Lagos property scam, pleads for help

Nigerian singer Abiola Akinbiyi, popularly known as Bella Shmurda, has alleged that he was defrauded after paying $4 million for a property in Lagos that he later discovered was not legally owned by the individual who sold it to him.

The artiste made the claim during an emotional Instagram Live session on Tuesday, where he appealed to Nigerians for help, saying the development had left him devastated and uncertain about recovering the money he had invested.

Bella Shmurda said he only recently realised that the property he purchased was allegedly stolen and that the transaction had turned into a major financial setback.

He described the situation as heartbreaking, explaining that the money represented years of hard work and dedication to his music career. He said he feared losing the entire investment if urgent intervention was not made.

He said the individual who sold him the property disappeared after receiving the payment.

Bella Shmurda pleaded with the public to assist in any way possible, stressing that losing such a significant amount of money would be a painful blow after years of building his career.
