Lateef Adedimeji and Mo Bimpe

Why religion didn’t stop me from marrying Mo Bimpe —Lateef Adedimeji

Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Lateef Adedimeji, has shared fresh details about his marriage to actress Mo Bimpe, revealing that their different religious backgrounds never stood in the way of their relationship because personal peace mattered more to him.

Speaking during an interview with media personality Morayo Afolabi Brown, the award-winning actor explained that although he is a Muslim and his wife is a Christian, he chose to focus on compatibility rather than religious differences.

Adedimeji disclosed that he had once resolved never to marry a fellow actor, believing he would find a life partner outside the entertainment industry. However, he said events unfolded differently, describing his marriage to Mo Bimpe as part of a greater plan that changed his perspective on both love and life.

According to the actor, his wife initially had reservations about their relationship, but he remained confident that the situation could be resolved. He said he asked her to allow him meet her father, a step that eventually paved the way for their marriage and marked the beginning of their journey together.

“I promised never to marry someone from my industry, but God had better plans. She had her concerns, but I told her to let me meet her father, and the rest is history,” Adedimeji said.

The actor also addressed growing curiosity surrounding the identity of his children, stating that the photos widely circulated online as images of his triplets do not actually show their faces.

He explained that the pictures were created using artificial intelligence and stressed that he and his wife would introduce their children to the public when they consider the time appropriate.
