Actress Omoche Oko hospitalised after suffering leg injury in bike accident on movie set

Nollywood actress Omoche Oko has been hospitalised after sustaining an injury during a film production accident that occurred while she was shooting a movie scene involving a motorcycle.

The incident, which the actress shared publicly through a video posted on Instagram, left her receiving medical attention.

The actress documented the moment she lost control and fell from the bike while filming, expressing gratitude that she escaped without life-threatening.

The actress described life as fragile and acknowledged what she saw as divine intervention in the outcome of the incident. She also used the moment to draw attention to the physical demands and hazards associated with filmmaking, encouraging the public to appreciate actors for the sacrifices they make in pursuit of their craft.

She urged people to show support and understanding to performers, noting that actors regularly expose themselves to difficult and risky conditions while bringing stories to life on screen.

Actor Tobi Makinde conveyed sympathy over the incident, while Paschaline Alex expressed gratitude and wished her well. Mofe Duncan questioned her condition and extended support, and Sarah Martins also reacted with concern. Ibrahim Suleiman joined others in expressing shock and relief after watching the footage.

Other industry figures including Adinma Somadina, Chinney Love, Nkechi Blessing, Nosa Rex, Chizzy Alichi, Onyi Alex and Angela Eguavoen also reacted publicly, offering prayers and words of encouragement as Omoche recovers from the injury.

Recent years have seen several incidents involving actors sustaining injuries while working on film sets. Skitmaker Brodashaggi was previously hospitalised after suffering a gunshot injury while filming in Ogun State, prompting widespread concern and prayers from fans and colleagues.

Actor Godwin Nnadiekwe also disclosed suffering internal bleeding following an injury sustained during a movie shoot involving fellow actor Zubby. According to his account, he was kicked in the chest during filming despite the action not being included in the script or directed by production.

Other controversies linked to movie productions have also surfaced in recent times, including allegations of assault and disputes among actors and crew members.
