Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye has paid an emotional tribute to her late colleague, Alex Ekubo, as preparations continue for the actor’s burial.
Bimbo Ademoye reaffirmed that the late actor remains cherished and remembered by friends, colleagues, and fans across the entertainment industry.
The actress shared details of his burial arrangements on social media alongside a heartfelt message honouring the late actor, whose death shocked many within and outside Nollywood.
Posting a flyer announcing the burial plans, Ademoye expressed her grief while celebrating Ekubo’s memory, describing him as a king who would never be forgotten and prayed for his peaceful rest.
“Gone but never forgotten! Fly high, king!” she wrote.
The actress also joined other celebrities in publicly honouring Ekubo by changing her social media profile picture to his image.
The move mirrors a similar tribute by actress Nancy Isime, who also adopted Ekubo’s photograph on her profile as a sign of solidarity and remembrance.
Ekubo’s death was announced by his family last month following what was described as a brief but courageous battle with cancer. The actor died on Monday, May 11, 2026 at Evercare Hospital. He was 40 years old.
The late actor had, in previous years, shared reflections on life, loss and human relationships that have since resurfaced following news of his death.
