Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Rema has teamed up with South Korean music star LISA and Brazilian pop singer Anitta for ‘Goals’, the newly released anthem from the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album.
The song was released globally on Thursday across major streaming platforms through Def Jam Recordings and SALXCO UAM, accompanied by an official music video that immediately drew attention from football and music fans worldwide.
The collaboration blends Afrobeats, K-pop, and Latin pop influences, reflecting FIFA’s effort to unite audiences from different cultures through music ahead of the global football tournament.
Produced by Grammy-winning music producer Cirkut, the upbeat track combines energetic percussion, multilingual vocals and stadium-ready melodies designed to capture the excitement surrounding the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
FIFA described the album as a cultural project aimed at connecting fans across continents through the shared passion for music and sport.
In a statement shared on Instagram, FIFA announced that the three international stars will perform the song live at the FIFA World Cup USA opening ceremony scheduled to hold in Los Angeles.
“@lalalalisa_m x @anitta x @heisrema will all take the stage for an unforgettable performance at the #FIFAWorldCup USA opening ceremony in Los Angeles,” FIFA wrote.
The Official FIFA World Cup 2026 album is expected to feature musicians from different parts of the world, aligning with the tournament’s newly expanded 48-team format.
The 2026 edition of the World Cup will be jointly hosted by United States, Canada, and Mexico, making it the first tournament to be co-hosted by three nations.
For Rema, the collaboration marks another significant milestone in his growing international career. The singer has continued to expand his global influence following the massive success of Calm Down, his hit collaboration with Selena Gomez, which achieved worldwide commercial success and introduced Afrobeats to broader global audiences.
LISA’s appearance on the track also highlights her continued rise as a solo act outside her activities with globally acclaimed K-pop group BLACKPINK. Since launching her independent projects, the Thai-born rapper and dancer has maintained strong international appeal with chart-performing singles and high-profile collaborations.
Anitta, known for blending Brazilian funk, reggaeton and pop music, adds a Latin influence to the record. The Brazilian star has built a strong international reputation over the years through collaborations with artists across Europe, North America and Latin America.
Since its release, ‘Goals’ has generated widespread reactions online, with fans praising the cross-cultural collaboration and anticipating the trio’s live performance at the opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
