Organisers of the popular reality television show Big Brother Naija have announced that physical auditions for the programme’s eleventh season will commence on May 22 across three major Nigerian cities.
The organisers disclosed in a statement shared on Instagram that prospective contestants must complete their registration between May 16 and May 20 to qualify for the next stage of the audition process. They also clarified that participation is completely free for eligible applicants.
According to the organisers, only Nigerians aged 21 years and above with a valid means of identification will be considered for the auditions.
They further warned that available slots are limited and that the registration portal would automatically close once the maximum number of applications had been received.
Selected applicants are expected to participate in the physical screening exercise scheduled to take place from May 22 to May 24 in Lagos, Abuja and Enugu.
The announcement marks a return to the in-person audition format that characterised the early editions of the reality show before organisers later adopted virtual and hybrid methods in recent years to expand access and participation.
The organisers noted that the decision to resume physical auditions is aimed at creating a more engaging selection process while allowing producers to interact directly with prospective housemates.
The development has already generated excitement among fans of the show and aspiring contestants across social media, with many expressing anticipation ahead of the new season.
Since its debut, Big Brother Naija has grown into one of Africa’s biggest entertainment programmes, producing several celebrities, influencers, actors and entrepreneurs who gained nationwide recognition after participating in the show.
Over the years, the reality series has also become known for its mix of drama, relationships, competitions, and social interactions, attracting millions of viewers across Nigeria and other African countries.
The latest announcement comes months after the conclusion of the show’s most recent edition, which ended on October 5, 2025.
The last season was won by Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, who emerged victorious after competing against 28 other contestants in the reality competition.
Imisi’s victory further cemented the programme’s reputation for transforming relatively unknown individuals into household names through nationwide exposure and public support.
As anticipation builds for Season 11, many prospective contestants are expected to troop to audition venues in hopes of securing a place in the famous Big Brother house.
Fans of the show are equally looking forward to another season filled with intense competition, emotional moments, entertainment, and unexpected twists that have become synonymous with the franchise.
