Celebrity barman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, has officially announced his intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives during the 2027 general elections.
He revealed that he will be running under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC), throwing his hat into the political ring after years of building a public persona as a nightlife mogul and celebrity influencer.
The socialite further revealed his political ambition in a video posted on his Instagram page, where he confirmed that he is seeking to represent the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency in Imo State.
In the footage, Okechukwu was seen visiting the APC state secretariat, where he congratulated the newly elected state working committee. He also used the opportunity to formally notify party leaders of his aspiration.
Accompanying the video, he wrote, “Stopped by at our great party state secretariat to congratulate and encourage our state working committee on their emergence.”
He added, “Above all, I made known to them my humble aspirations to represent my people, the good people of Orsu/Orlu and Oru East Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Reps. So, all I’m asking is for your blessings. Na God get power, let the will of God be done.”
He also called for unity among APC members, describing them as brothers, sisters, and party faithful working toward shared political goals ahead of the 2027 elections.
The celebrity barman is not new to political circles. He currently serves as Imo State Director of the City Boy Movement, a political support group backing President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid and the Renewed Hope Agenda.
That role has already placed him firmly within the APC’s grassroots mobilisation structure, giving him access to party networks and political capital that could prove valuable in the coming campaign.
