Gospel singer Moses Bliss has shared a deeply personal account of a severe and unexplained illness that affected his wife, Marie Bliss, shortly after she gave birth, describing how the health scare left her in intense pain and struggling to breathe before what he believes was a miraculous recovery through prayer.
The gospel artist revealed the incident during his ministration at the Mountain Experience programme in Abuja, stating that the medical emergency occurred while the couple were in the United Kingdom.
According to him, the situation escalated rapidly, forcing hospital admission as doctors struggled to determine the cause of her condition.
Bliss said the experience became one of the most difficult periods of their lives, as his wife’s symptoms worsened without a clear diagnosis. He added that despite extensive medical examinations, healthcare professionals were unable to identify what was responsible for her deteriorating health condition.
According to his account, the ordeal began unexpectedly while they were in the Midlands area of London, shortly after the birth of their first child. He explained that his wife initially experienced pain on one side of her body, which later spread to her back, before she began having difficulty breathing. The situation, he said, became severe enough to require immediate hospital care.
Bliss further disclosed that at the height of the crisis, he had to travel to Nigeria for a scheduled programme, leaving his wife under medical supervision in the United Kingdom.
He recounted that while she remained in hospital undergoing several tests, doctors were still unable to establish the root cause of her condition, deepening their concern.
He said, “We were in the UK, and all of a sudden my wife became ill. One side of her body was paining her, her back was also painful, and before we knew it, she could not breathe properly. It became serious, and we had to take her to the hospital. The doctors said they did not know the cause.”
The gospel singer added that during this period, he was deeply distressed and found himself in tears over his wife’s condition. He narrated that while travelling back for a programme in Nigeria, he felt a strong spiritual prompting which he interpreted as divine instruction to act in faith.
According to him, upon returning to the hospital, he prayed with his wife and encouraged her with scriptures, believing in divine healing.
He stated that shortly after this moment of prayer, her condition improved significantly, and she was eventually discharged from the hospital.
Bliss attributed his wife’s recovery to prayer and divine intervention, describing the experience as a test of faith that ultimately strengthened their spiritual conviction.
His testimony has since circulated widely online, drawing reactions from fans and followers who expressed relief and gratitude over the reported outcome.
The couple, who got married in 2024 and welcomed their first child in 2025, have often shared aspects of their faith journey publicly. Bliss continues to be recognised as one of Nigeria’s prominent gospel musicians, with a growing influence in both music and ministry circles.
