Bride of Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere’s adopted autistic son confirms she has three children

A newlywed woman married to Aboy Chibuzor, the non-verbal autistic man adopted and raised by the founder of Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has clarified that she is neither a virgin nor without children, revealing that she is a widow with three kids.

Her statement comes amid widespread public reactions and debates surrounding the marriage.

Speaking during a video interview shared on Apostle Chinyere’s Facebook page, the bride addressed speculation about her personal background, including assumptions about her sexual history and eligibility for the union.

She explained that she hails from Edo State but spent much of her upbringing in Rivers State, where she has lived for several years.

According to her, she is a mother of three children, all from a previous relationship, and the father of the children is deceased.

Her clarification followed intense scrutiny of the marriage, which had attracted attention on social media and other platforms. Many commentators questioned the circumstances of the matchmaking, particularly the criteria used in selecting a spouse for Aboy, as well as concerns raised about the bride’s marital history.

The discussions reflected broader public interest in the unusual nature of the union and the welfare of the groom, who requires full-time care due to his condition.

The wedding itself had been publicly announced by Apostle Chinyere, who had earlier disclosed efforts to secure a suitable partner for Aboy. As part of those efforts, he reportedly offered incentives, including financial support, housing, and an overseas trip, aimed at encouraging a willing partner to come forward.

The announcement generated mixed reactions, with some commending the initiative as compassionate, while others criticised it as controversial.

In response to the backlash, Apostle Chinyere stated that his intentions were not to demean any woman but to ensure companionship and support for Aboy, given his need for continuous assistance.

He emphasised that the marriage was arranged with the aim of providing stability and care for the autistic young man, who is non-verbal and depends heavily on others for daily living.

The bride’s clarification appears to be an attempt to dispel misinformation and address public curiosity surrounding her personal life. Her remarks have added another layer to the ongoing conversation about the marriage, which continues to generate debate across social and traditional media platforms.
