Socialite and nightlife entrepreneur, Cubana Chief Priest, has publicly declared his support for Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that the party has been beneficial to him.
He made the remarks while attending the APC National Convention in Abuja, where he appeared alongside other political stakeholders and supporters of President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking at the event, the celebrity barman, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, said the APC-led administration has treated him well, a comment that quickly sparked reactions across social media and political circles.
His statement, “APC is taking care of me,” was interpreted by many as an open endorsement of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Cubana Chief Priest’s presence at the convention also highlighted his growing involvement in political mobilisation through the City Boy Movement, a youth-driven campaign group associated with Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu.
The movement has been working to rally young Nigerians in support of the president’s Renewed Hope agenda and strengthen grassroots engagement for the ruling party.
The socialite has recently been appointed the Imo State Director of the City Boy Movement, a role that places him in charge of coordinating youth outreach and political advocacy for the group within the state.
During his address at the convention, Cubana Chief Priest urged Nigerians to align themselves with the movement, warning that those who choose to remain on the sidelines risk being left behind politically.
According to him, the momentum being built around President Tinubu’s leadership is expected to carry into the next election cycle, making early support a strategic decision for individuals and groups seeking relevance.
“It’s either you win with us or you watch us win,” he said, referencing what he described as the growing popularity of the administration and its supporters.
The City Boy Movement has, in recent months, intensified its activities across several states, organising outreach programmes, social media campaigns and community engagements designed to present the Tinubu administration as youth-friendly and development-focused.
