Reality TV star and former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, Ikechukwu Sunday Okonkwo, popularly known as Cross Da Boss, has proposed to his longtime partner, Chinonso.
The romantic ceremony, which set social media abuzz, took place on Tuesday, and was witnessed by close friends and fellow BBNaija alumni.
Viral videos captured the moment Cross went down on one knee as Chinonso accepted his proposal, sparking cheers and applause from their guests.
Among those present was fellow BBNaija star Liquorose, who shared clips of the emotional event. Others, including Erica Nlewedim, joined virtually via FaceTime to celebrate with the couple.
Pere Egbi, another ex-housemate, revealed that he had known about Chinonso from the beginning of their relationship, recalling past conversations in which Cross spoke of his desire to marry her.
Pere added that he was ready to take on groomsman duties when the wedding comes.
After the proposal, the couple hosted an intimate dinner with friends. Cross later expressed his gratitude and joy on Snapchat and X, writing, “The most happiest man alive. Thank you, Jesus.”
The engagement marks a new chapter in Cross’s life, one that has been closely followed by his fans since his first appearance on the BBNaija Shine Ya Eye edition in 2021, where he quickly became a fan favourite.
With wedding preparations expected to follow, Cross and Chinonso’s union is already being tipped as one of the most anticipated celebrity events in Nigeria’s entertainment scene.
