Nigerian influencer, entrepreneur, and daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, Priscilla Ojo, has given birth to her first child with Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.
The couple welcomed a son, Prince Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, in Canada on Sunday.
Priscilla confirmed the arrival of the baby on Monday through Snapchat and Instagram, where she shared her labour-room experience with fans.
According to her, contractions struck suddenly at 3a.m., forcing a rush to the hospital, adding, “Contraction is not a joke. All plans to slay at the hospital and create content were cancelled,” she joked.
She also revealed that the baby came earlier than expected, skipping the chance to share a birthday with his father.
“Me: Rakeem, your due date is the same as Papa’s. Rakeem: Please, this woman, I want my day alone. @juma_jux, sorry, my love, your son wants to shine alone,” she teased.
The birth crowns a year of public celebration for the couple. Between February and May 2025, Priscilla and Juma tied the knot in a spectacular six-part wedding that spanned Nigeria and Tanzania. The ceremonies included a nikkah in Dar es Salaam, a white wedding in Zanzibar, and a colourful Yoruba traditional wedding in Lagos, all of which drew the attention of African media and fans alike.
Their union became one of the most talked-about celebrity weddings of the year, uniting two cultures and two entertainment industries.
In July, they shared news of their pregnancy through a viral post on Instagram, which was met with an outpouring of congratulations from both Nollywood stars and Tanzanian music circles. A week later, they hosted a baby shower in Canada attended by Iyabo Ojo, actress Lola Alao, and close family friends, where Priscilla was celebrated as she prepared for motherhood.
The celebrations continued in Tanzania with a grand gender reveal party, where the couple announced they were expecting a boy.
Now, with the birth of baby Rakeem, Priscilla and Juma have added another milestone to their story. Within hours of his introduction on social media, the newborn had already amassed tens of thousands of followers, reflecting the couple’s strong influence and popularity across Africa.
