The new Tecno Spark 40 series Android-based smartphones, manufactured, released, and marketed by Tecno Mobile, with their futuristic features, are exciting Nigerian phone freaks
The three new phones in the series ─ Tecno Spark 40, Tecno Spark 40 Pro, and Tecno Spark 40 Pro+ ─ with distinct hardware configurations, were reportedly announced on 2 July 2025, and serve as successors to the Tecno Spark 20 series.
All devices in the Spark 40 series run on Android 15 with Tecno’s HiOS 15.1 skin. The software includes several AI-powered features, such as the ‘Ask Ella’ on-screen assistant, ‘AI Writing’ for text generation and proofreading, ‘AI Translate’, and more exciting software features.
Available in vibrant colours like Nebula Black and Tundra Green, the camera of these devices captures every moment. With a 50MP main camera and a 13MP front camera, life’s moments are captured with clarity.
The Tecno Spark 40 series received attention for its competitive specifications relative to its budget price point and their rear camera design that bore similarities to smartphones from other major brands like Samsung and Apple.
According to PhoneArena, the phones’ features like the 144 Hz display and 45W charging on the Pro+ model “put some iPhone 16 specs to shame.”
The campaign slogan for the Tecno Spark 40 series is ‘Think Lighter, More Power’, which reflects their sleek, stylish, and smart features as mid-range phones, heralding it as a stylish revolution for urban youth and Nigeria’s trendsetters.
